My Kind of blog: Truth by Gabriel

So, you thought being a teenager in the middle of a pandemic is
easy?
Here is my perspective on being myself.
I was born and have lived all my life in Quito, until now that I am 17, it is a great city without a doubt, the people are amazing, and you never finish knowing the city, because in conclusion, for me, living in this city is quite interesting, Well, I have never wanted to move to another city in my country, one of my favorite things is to visit the north, in fact I almost always go there, in the first place because there are many places to not get bored, whether they are restaurants, parks or coffee shops, in a short time, you never finish knowing.
But there are positive and negative aspects of living in Quito, to begin with, the positives, it is very, very changing in each area you go to, you can plan a day in parks, in shopping centers, or even visit museums in the historic center , and even better, Quito is very close to many ecological reserves, such as the Cotopaxi, besides that for a teenager, there are very good high schools and universities, in fact the best universities in the country are in Quito. Now, the negative aspects, in certain places in the city you must be very careful because they are dangerous, also, if you want to carry out several activities in a day, the distance can be very long, and of course, the traffic is horrible! Personally, my ideal day would be a very quiet walk around the city, go to a coffee shop, eat, go to a park with my friends or my family.
Another experience that has become my complete life, is the pandemic, I personally have many opinions on this subject, it was very hard having to spend at home for many months in a row, leaving my friends at school, and in general stop enjoying of things that people of my age would do, like socialize or take a simple walk, and I also think that the pandemic has taken a long time from my years as a teenager. Well, the lockdown began when I was 15 years old, now I am 17, but also, without a doubt, the pandemic has left me a million teachings, but we don't have all the time of the world, so I will try to share the most important ones, nobody, absolutely no one will live your life, more than yourself, that is why now I have made the decision to make my own decisions, seek my own happiness, and be authentic, that means no longer being afraid of criticism. I also knew how to differentiate my friends very well, that helped me to know who to trust and who not, and finally, responsibility is important, nobody will do things for you, success will not come without effort.
Now that you know more about my city, you can take into account,
bring a coat in any month of the year, at night it is always cold, but you have
also been able to read a little of my perspective of lockdown and my little
life, and some recommendations that will greatly facilitate your life, good
luck! Gabriel xoxo.
